The Natural Health Solution You're Looking For

Naturally restore your body to a healthy state! Fast & effective treatments adapted to our modern world!

Restore, invigorate, sustain!

Do you suffer from acute or chronic pain, digestive problems, allergies, or neurological disorders? Or do you simply want to live a healthier, more productive and energetic life? I offer a safe, effective and drug free alternative to naturally restore your body to a healthy state!

Chronic pain, whether from a pinched nerve, sciatica, migraine, arthritis or other conditions can be very frustrating. It is often difficult to treat nerve pain with traditional medications as nerve pain does not respond well to prescription pain relievers. Acupuncture may relieve pain by releasing endorphins, the body’s natural pain-killing chemicals, and by affecting the part of the brain that governs serotonin, a brain chemical involved with mood. It is sometimes called the happy chemical, because it contributes to wellbeing and happiness.

Acupuncture, what is all it about?

Acupuncture, a modality created and adapted for thousands of years, is gaining more and more popularity all over the world for the treatment of acute and chronic pain. During the treatment, a very thin, hairlike needle is inserted at specific points on the body to stimulate both the central and peripheral nervous systems. It triggers the release of the body’s internal chemicals such as endorphins and enkephalins, which have pain-relieving properties. If you have lingering pain, or pain that is just not being fixed by other modalities, then acupuncture offers a time-tested and reliable method of pain relief.

If you’re skeptical of acupuncture, this is the place for you!

What I do

Motor Point Acupuncture

Motor Point Acupuncture is a modern style of acupuncture rooted in both neurology, anatomy and sports medicine. It helps restore muscle and joint function to treat pain, misalignment, increase range of motion of joints and all kinds of other dysfunctions in the body. Motor Point acupuncture can reset contracted muscles to restore joints to their normal function while reducing or eliminating pain and inflammation. This technique has been used with great success for several decades by a relatively small number of acupuncturists. It most likely began in the 1970s with Dr C Chan Gunn, an anaesthesiologist, who found that inserting acupuncture needles into so called motor points in muscles (the place where the nerve attaches to the muscle) can cause a fasciculation (twitch response), which would reset the nerve and muscle. This leads to relaxation of contracted muscle and an increase in strength.

Is your post-surgical rehab no longer progressing? Does exercise seem to make you feel worse? Pain and inflammation from surgery will cause the surrounding muscles to tighten to protect the joint. The pain chemicals from your sensory nerves can start to impair the signal from your motor nerves. This is called motor muscle inhibition or just motor inhibition. Motor Point Acupuncture can get your tight muscles to relax and return to their normal elasticity and length. It can also get your motor nerve firing strong again so you can get your strength back.

Neuro Acupuncture

Neuro Acupuncture is a contemporary acupuncture technique integrating traditional Chinese needling methods and Scalp Acupuncture with western medical knowledge of neurology. Neuro Acupuncture is a skill, most effective in the treatment of acute and chronic central nervous system disorders, often producing remarkable results with just a few needles and can conveniently be combined with with other styles of acupuncture.

Eye Acupuncture

No, I don’t needle into the eyes. Eye acupuncture is used for degenerative eye disorders such as age-related Macular Degeneration (AMD), Glaucoma, or Retinitis Pigmentosa. A study entitled “The use of acupuncture in ophthalmology” analyzed the effectiveness of acupuncture in the treatment of various eye diseases. The study concluded: “Despite the inability to explain the healing power of acupuncture in modern scientific terms, the documentation of more than 500 treated cases shows that this method can be successful in the treatment of eye diseases, especially retinitis pigmentosa, high myopia, cataract, controlled glaucoma and after surgery for retinal detachment”.

About myself

Xavier Fricker

Acupuncture is my passion. I got into Chinese Medicine after some sports injuries at age 12. After my return to Switzerland I also did another 3 year Western Medical training at a private College in Switzerland and am now licensed to practise Chinese Medicine in Basel, Switzerland. I am registered with EMR & ASCA, which means that your complementary insurance should cover the treatments.

I also run an educational company organising Chinese Medicine trainings from world famous speakers throughout Europe and have organised seminars for famous TCM practitioners such as Drs. Jason & Linda Hao, Dr. Andy Rosenfarb, Robert Doane, Richard Hazel, David Bomzon, and many more.

I am an official translator at the biggest Chinese Medicine congress in Europe: TCM Kongress Rothenburg.
